SAP Table and Field search techniques

The problem: You want to create an ABAP query or ABAP report using fields that you can find on transaction screens, but you don't know where the data are stored.
This paper describes some techniques you can use to find the data. Some fields may still resist these techniques; there are certainly more ways yet to chase them down.

Summary

Standard Variants come in very handy for customizing document entry screen. They can be created for any dialog or reporting transactions.
